International Youth Conference 2009 - Indonesia

The Former President of the MSC, SAHRAMAN ‘SADAT’ HADJI LATIF ,  has attended to the International Youth Conference 2009 held on September 28- October 2 at Marbella Hotel, Banten, Indonesia. The theme of this conference is “The Role of Youth to Establish Peace, Toward a Future World without Violent Radicalization”. This conference is organized by the State Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, National Commission of Indonesia to UNESCO, and The Ministry of National Education of Indonesia in Collaboration with UNESCO, Local Government of Banten and West Java Province. This is aimed to inculcate to the youth the importance of peace, to promote ethical principles among youth and support the efforts of youth to foster a culture of peace and tolerance. In addition, it is aspired to bring together and share each other the alternative solutions for future peace and to strengthen cooperation, to build networking among themselves in facing the global future. This conference was attended by 150 youth delegates from difference countries of the world, Europe, America, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

Workshop on Youth, culture and Development conducted by SEAMEO-SPAFA

MSC President, SARIPODEN T. MOCTAR, attended to the Workshop on Youth, culture and Development conducted by SEAMEO-SPAFA, with the support of the ASEAN Foundation on May 18-22 at Waterfront Hotel Lanang   Davao City . This workshop is intended To promote a sense of social responsibility and leadership amongst youth in order to bring about more sustainable development outcomes in their own country as well as the ASEAN region Participants were youth sector from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

ASEAN University Student Conference 2009

The MSC Acting President, SAHRAMAN D. HADJI LATIF, attended and participated to the ASEAN University Student Conference 2009  organized by the Deputy Minister for Youth Empowerment, the State Ministry of Youth and Sports of the  Republic of Indonesia held at Asia-Africa Building,  Bandung City, Indonesia on May 20-24, 2009. The ASEAN University Student Conference is an event that brings together University Students, Youth Leaders, Governments and NGOs that deal with the issues about the theme of the conference. "Enriching and Preserving our Cultural Heritage". 170 Participants are from ASEAN Countries, Brunei Darrusalam, Cambodia, LAO PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, and other observers from Asia.
